Manchester City’s Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson has rediscovered his best form just in time for the run-in. Since Gameweek 30, City have kept a league-high five clean sheets and conceded just three goals in seven matches – as shown in the Opta Stats Sandbox – a return to the kind of defensive solidity we've come to expect under Guardiola.
At 31, Ederson remains a crucial part of the backline, not just for his shot-stopping but also his ability to contribute going forward – grabbing an assist during this recent run, his fourth of the season. If you're looking for a premium keeper with form and fixtures, Ederson is a reliable option.
Everton’s 24-year-old left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko is one to watch this week. With a favourable home fixture against Southampton, Everton have a 40% chance of keeping a clean sheet according to the Predicted Points & Stats tool – a solid foundation for Mykolenko to deliver returns.
The Toffees have already recorded 10 clean sheets this season, and Mykolenko could help add to that tally. Owned by just 6.5% of FPL managers, he features in this week's Top 5 Differentials – a smart shout if you're chasing rank or looking for a late-season punt.
Crystal Palace's right-back Daniel Muñoz continues to impress. The 28-year-old Colombian is fresh from an 11-point haul against Spurs, taking his season total to 139 points – the fourth-highest among all defenders.
He’s averaging 4 points per game, trailing only Mateta (4.2) and Eze (4.3) in the Palace squad, according to the Player Heatmaps tool. With 10 attacking returns so far, Muñoz has offered consistent value at both ends of the pitch.
There is some risk, though – Palace play Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday before facing Wolves on Tuesday, so rotation or injury could come into play. But the Algorithm still believes it is a calculated gamble worth considering.
The Algorithm is so confident in Everton’s clean sheet prospects this week that it’s backing a defensive double-up. Joining Mykolenko is 22-year-old centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, who earns a spot thanks to both form and fixture.
Southampton’s attacking numbers are among the worst in the league: just 25 goals in 36 matches, 108 shots on target (joint-lowest with Leicester), and a league-low expected goals total of 35.33. Given those stats, Branthwaite looks like a strong pick – especially at just £4.8m.
Mohamed Salah wears the captain's armband this week – though not without debate. Despite an incredible season tally of 28 goals and 18 assists, the Liverpool star has just 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 7 appearances, raising questions about his current form.
Interestingly, only 15.4% of the Elite XI: Team Reveal managers – a group boasting 83 combined top 10k finishes – have chosen Salah as their captain. At the time of writing, Mbeumo leads the way on 46.2%, followed by Haaland with 23.1%.
Still, with a projected 7.1 points away to Brighton, the Algorithm is firmly in Salah’s corner. Will the numbers prove wiser than the Elite?
If Salah’s captaincy raised eyebrows, Cole Palmer’s inclusion may do the same.
It’s been a season of two halves for the Chelsea midfielder. Between Gameweek 1 and 21, he averaged 7.8 points per game – second only to Salah (10.5) – according to the Player Heatmaps tool.
But since then, his output has dropped sharply to just 3.3 points per game. Still, the underlying numbers tell a different story. Palmer has scored only once from an xG of 5.2 and five big chances, suggesting he’s been unluicky.
With Manchester United expected to rotate heavily due to their Europa League commitments, the Algorithm sees a bounce-back on the cards – projecting 6.6 points for Palmer this week.
As mentioned earlier, Bryan Mbeumo is currently the most popular captain among the Elite XI: Team Reveal managers for Gameweek 37 – and it’s easy to understand why. With 18 goals and 9 assists this season, the Brentford midfielder has been one of the standout performers.
According to the Insight Live tool, Mbeumo is the second most-owned player in the top 100k, with 91.3% ownership, just behind Salah at 91.8%. Among top-tier managers, he’s not just a pick – he’s a must-have.
A home fixture against Fulham provides a great platform for him to justify the faith placed in him. Backed by the numbers and the community, Mbeumo looks set for another big week.
Kevin De Bruyne’s quality has never been in question – and as he approaches his final Etihad appearance, he’ll be eager to deliver an FPL-worthy performance.
Despite limited minutes this season, the Belgian maestro leads the way for key creative stats at Manchester City:
He also ranks second only to Savinho (11) for actual FPL assists, with 9 to his name. That said, with the FA Cup final falling between now and City's fixture against Bournemouth, there’s some injury risk to consider. Still, if he starts, De Bruyne’s ceiling remains as high as ever.
Yoane Wissa has had an impressive season, scoring 17 goals for Brentford. His underlying stats suggest there's even more to come, with an xG of 18.22 – slightly higher than his actual return.
When comparing non-penalty xG (xGnp) for forwards this season using the Opta Stats Sandbox, Wissa ranks second only to Haaland (20.26), highlighting just how dangerous he’s been in open play.
A home fixture against Fulham – who conceded three at home to Everton in their last outing – presents a great opportunity for Wissa to build on his impressive tally and deliver once again.
Chris Wood has been a revelation for Nottingham Forest this season, netting 20 goals and proving himself one of the league’s most clinical finishers.
The New Zealand striker has massively outperformed his xG of 13.38, making him the second-highest xG overperformer in the league, behind only Cunha, who has 15 goals from an xG of just 8.33, according to the Custom Stats Table.
This weekend, Wood travels to face a leaky West Ham side that has conceded 32 goals in 18 home matches – the worst record among non-relegated teams. With his current form and eye for goal, he could very well punish them too.
Ollie Watkins has been a standout performer for Aston Villa this season, racking up 16 goals and 7 assists.
This Gameweek, he faces a Tottenham side who have conceded a league-high 16 goals in their last 7 matches and are expected to rotate heavily ahead of their Europa League final next Wednesday.
With a promising fixture and excellent form, it’s no surprise that Watkins is currently the most transferred-in player of the week, with over 260,000 new owners.
According to the Top 10 Forward Transfer Combinations, Watkins dominates the top 4 combinations, with Marmoush, Isak, Mateta, and Cunha the most common players being replaced.
Here’s the full Fantasy Premier League team in the Future Planner tool, selected using the Fantasy Football Fix Algorithm.
This squad blends elite performers with smart differentials to maximise potential returns across the pitch.
Backed by strong underlying stats, favourable fixtures, and algorithm-driven projected points, even the less obvious picks have solid reasoning behind them. With a balance of form, opportunity, and data-driven insight, this team is well-positioned to deliver big in Gameweek 37.
