Goalkeeper | £5.5m | CRY (H) | Projected Points: 4.3
Liverpool’s number one, Alisson Becker, earns his spot between the posts for good reason.
The 32-year-old Brazilian has been a key part of Liverpool’s league-leading 14 clean sheets this season, as shown in the Opta Stats Sandbox. The Reds have conceded just 15 goals at home — a joint-best record with Nottingham Forest — and will be looking to add one more clean sheet in the final Gameweek.
With Crystal Palace visiting Anfield fresh from their FA Cup celebrations, Alisson’s clean sheet prospects look strong.
Defender | £4.9m | SOU (A) | Projected Points: 4.6
Jakub Kiwior is a solid, low-risk pick by the Algorithm this week. With William Saliba ruled out, the Polish international looks set to start in Arsenal’s final game of the season against Southampton.
Although the Gunners have nothing left to play for, and rotation is a real possibility, Kiwior gets the nod — and even features in this week's Top 5 Differentials article.
According to the Predicted Points & Stats tool, Arsenal have a 60% chance of keeping a clean sheet — the highest of any team in Gameweek 38.
Defender | £4.6m | EVE (H) | Projected Points: 4.2
Young full-back Tino Livramento has been a standout performer for Newcastle this season and could play a key role in their final push for Champions League football on the last day.
He’s contributed to 10 clean sheets so far, highlighting his defensive reliability, and he also carries some attacking threat — having created 4 big chances this campaign.
Newcastle host Everton, who are locked into 13th place and have scored just 15 goals away from home — only Southampton have fewer (13). Livramento looks well placed for a clean sheet, with a small chance of an attacking return to sweeten the deal.
Defender | £5.2m | LEI (H) | Projected Points: 5.0
The 21-year-old Hungarian has been a revelation for Bournemouth this season. Kerkez has played a key role in 8 clean sheets, while also chipping in with 2 goals and 6 assists — impressive returns for a defender.
According to the Transfer Analytics tool, he's the sixth most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 38, with over 75,000 new owners — making him the most popular defensive pick this week, ahead of Kiwior (54,000 transfers).
In fact, Kerkez and Kiwior feature in seven of the Top 10 Defender Transfer Combinations for the final Gameweek — so it’s not just the Algorithm that sees them as standout picks for the season finale.
Midfielder | £13.6m | CRY (H) | Projected Points: 7.7
The Algorithm’s captain pick needs little introduction. Mohamed Salah has delivered a stellar season, racking up 28 goals and 18 assists.
Salah averaged 10.55 points per game from GW1–29. Since then? Just 4. A dramatic drop-off. 😲 pic.twitter.com/H1BuJ8fpF6

However, since Gameweek 29, there’s been a noticeable dip in output — with just 1 goal and 1 assist. Opta Heatmaps suggest a slightly deeper average position in recent matches, which may explain the drop-off in attacking returns.
Despite this, Salah has already amassed 334 points and will be aiming to finish the campaign in style against Crystal Palace. Just two more goal involvements would see him break the all-time Premier League record — and motivation won’t be lacking as he eyes history on the final day.
Midfielder | £5.9m | LEI (H) | Projected Points: 5.9
Justin Kluivert has been making waves at Bournemouth this season. With 12 goals and 6 assists, the Dutch international has offered consistent attacking returns and finds himself ranked #1 in our Top 5 Bournemouth Assets article for the final Gameweek.
He faces a generous Leicester defence that has yet to keep a clean sheet away from home, conceding a league-high 44 goals on the road. That makes Kluivert a tempting option — but there is a caveat. A surprise half-time substitution against Man City in Gameweek 37 raises the risk of rotation for the season finale.

Midfielder | £10.3m | SOU (A) | Projected Points: 6.0
Bukayo Saka hasn’t hit his usual heights since returning from injury in Gameweek 30, with just one goal in his last eight appearances. On the surface, it’s been a quiet spell — but the underlying numbers tell a different story.
According to the Opta Heatmaps stats, he’s recorded 2.85 expected goals, taken 19 shots (13 in the box), and created 14 chances, including 2 big chances — all with only a single goal and no assists to show for it.
It’s a run that feels more unlucky than unproductive, and a trip to Southampton — who have conceded a league-high 45 goals at home — could be the perfect opportunity for Saka to finally convert that promise into points.
Midfielder | £6.5m | SOU (A) | Projected Points: 4.8
Completing the Arsenal midfield double-up is the skilful Brazilian, Gabriel Martinelli. With 8 goals and 4 assists, the 23-year-old has shown flashes of real attacking threat this season.
However, with Arsenal having nothing left to play for, rotation is a real risk in Gameweek 38. Havertz has returned from injury and could see minutes, while youngster Nwaneri may also be handed a chance to aid his development.
Choosing the right Arsenal attacker could be key to a strong finish, and Martinelli is in the mix — though Trossard, who made it into this week’s Top 5 Differentials article, might offer a safer or more explosive punt.
Forward | £14.9m | FUL (A) | Projected Points: 5.3
The towering Norwegian hasn’t looked himself since returning from injury in Gameweek 36, registering just 2 shots and an xG of 0.13 across two matches — far below the level we’ve come to expect from Manchester City’s star striker.
But if we look at his stats before the injury using the Opta Stats Sandbox, it’s a different story. Up to Gameweek 29, Haaland led all forwards for goals (21), total shots (103), and shots on target (58) — a dominant record by any measure.
Despite the recent dip, the Algorithm clearly believes in a bounce-back performance from the Norwegian in Gameweek 38, especially with an inviting fixture away to Fulham.
Forward | £5.8m | LEI (H) | Projected Points: 5.1
Evanilson completes a Bournemouth triple-up thanks to a plum home fixture against Leicester. With 10 goals and 5 assists, the Brazilian has proven to be one of the budget gems of the FPL season.
Corey Baker — manager of our Elite XI: Team Reveal and owner of four previous top 10k finishes (currently ranked 8,375) — has his eye on the Bournemouth striker. In his latest Manager Mindset update, Corey said:
“Heading into the final Gameweek, the question is Isak’s health. If he’s out, Evanilson is coming in — and I could even take a hit for Saka.”
You can follow Corey’s transfers live via push notifications on the Elite XI: Team Reveal and see whether he backs Evanilson to help secure yet another top 10k finish.
Forward | £7.2m | CHE (H) | Projected Points: 5.1
The New Zealand international has been in fine form for Nottingham Forest, scoring an impressive 20 goals this season — significantly outperforming his xG of 13.59.
Wood’s inclusion may raise eyebrows given that Chelsea have been relatively solid at the back, with 10 clean sheets and just 43 goals conceded — the third-fewest in the league. But there’s still plenty on the line for Forest, who could sneak into Champions League football with a win over the London club.
Could Wood deliver one final FPL haul on the last day of the season? The Algorithm seems to think he just might.
Here’s the full Fantasy Premier League team in the Future Planner tool, selected using the Fantasy Football Fix Algorithm.
This squad strikes a balance between elite performers and smart differentials, carefully chosen to maximise returns across all positions.
Backed by strong underlying stats, favourable final-day fixtures, and algorithm-driven projected points, even the more left-field picks have solid data supporting them.
From standout premiums like Salah and Haaland to value picks such as Kiwior and Evanilson, this team offers a blend of form, opportunity, and upside — all underpinned by predictive analytics.
As the curtain falls on the FPL season, this Gameweek 38 squad could provide the spark — or inspiration — you need for a final push up the ranks.
